Patient Overview

Project Objectives

Creating a Problem Definition

Objectives Constraints
Implant should increase the user’s range of motion Must not wear down in the body
Implant should fix the limb length discrepancy Must be strong enough to support the patients body weight
Implant should fix the user’s limp Materials must be biosafe
Implant should be long lasting Must alleviate hip pain

The objectives and constraints established by our team served as a framework throughout the ideation phase and helped guide the development of the hip implant. By defining these goals, we ensured that the prototype aligned with the technical and material requirements of the patient. This helped create solutions that prioritized the patient’s comfort and long-term well-being.

Poster Board

This is the largest section of the poster board that shows off our design and all its intrinsic details

This poster board aims to inform the audience of the function, materials, and purpose of the developed hip implant. It goes over the surgical procedure, justification for each material, and the drug delivery system. Through proper visuals and written text, it is able to fully explain the prototype and its function to the audience.
